Balsa USA has rewritten the book on World War I R/C modeling with this new line of outstanding First World War Scale models! These easy to build Scale models are not just for looks either, these models are designed for flying and are intended to be flown! If you can build and fly the average four-channel sport model, you should have no trouble building or flying any of these fine models.

Following time honored “stick built” construction techniques, often duplicating the scale structure of their full size counterparts, these are both strong and exceptionally light weight models. All of this results in very low “wing loading”, which gives these models the slow, graceful, scale like flight characteristics of actual First World War aircraft and makes them surprisingly easy to fly! You don’t need to take our word on this either, just ask someone who owns one.

When it comes to building, Balsa USA has covered all the bases here also. Starting with three or more huge sheets of rolled plans and an instruction manual with literally hundreds of photographs to lead you step-by-step through the construction process. The numerous die-cut and jig-cut parts, pre-bent wire struts complete with wooden fairings and metal fittings, not to mention the surprisingly complete hardware packages, make these models as enjoyable to build as they are to fly. It doesn’t stop there either! Where applicable, these kits include ABS formed cowls, clear plastic windshields and other scale detail parts. In addition to that, there is an optional accessory package, custom tailored to each individual model offering such items as spun aluminum cowls, full color water-transfer decals, scale wheels, and machine gun kits. By offering these items separately, you can take the level of detail as far as you want to, while controlling the cost to meet your budget.
